Artist's Description
This is one of the big Spanish Guns at Fort Nuestra de la Soledad in Umatac Guam. Fort Nuestra is an old Spanish Galleon built in the 17th century on the Mariannas Island of Guam. It was built to protect the silver trade ships that stopped at Umatac Bay to reprovision supplies during their voyages between Manilla and Acapulco. I created this unique sketch like photopainting as a tribute to the history of Guam.
