Artist's Description
This female Bald Eagle starting calling her mate while she was sitting on her nest with her baby eaglet and remaining unhatched egg. Then she stood up and walked to the edge and screeched some more. WHen she saw her mate arriving she fly off as he alighted on the branch behind her to stand guard until she came back. Fascinating for me to watch and see this happen before my eyes.
