The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. In competitive championship professional surfing it's 'All for Show'. Who's lucky enough to catch a good wave when it's their turn and then put on a great show for the judges as they ride it in. He was proud. I was happy to be on shore and follow the action with my superzoom camera lens. Gotcha!
