That Iguana was about 3ft long or so. They're harmless to people and generally will avoid contact because they're afraid that you might want to kill and eat them. They're not scary at all. The brown tree snakes that they have are dangerous though. Guam is a small tropical island and is a favorite place for Japanese visitors. Thanks for making this shot one of your favorites.

Thanks Susan for making 'Surprising Guam' one of your favorites. On Guam you can see the iguana's occasionally if you're lucky in the jungles. They don't really pay that much attention to you. Plus you can also see the giant coconut crabs, wild chickens and wild boars (late evenings and early mornings) along the jungle borders. The wild boar are very very skiddish.
