A flock of Black Skimmers aka Rynchops Niger, fly along the sandy white beaches of the Gulf Coast. These birds also known as 'Scissorbills' are in the tern family. They have very heavy reddish orange bills. When feeding they keep their lower beak in the water as they fly along skimming for fish. I enjoyed my day at the beach photgraphing them.
