Description
Remnants of an old Spanish fortress rest on top of a hill that overlooks Umatac Bay. Umatac Bay is where Magellan first landed on the Island of Guam in 1521. This fortification was built by the Spanish in the early 1800's. The purpose of this cannon was to protect the anchorage of Spanish Galleon's that transited between Mexico and the Phillipines.
