This is the scow schooner Alma sailing with lucky tourists on the San Francisco Bay. Built in 1891, The Alma is a designated National Historic Landmark operated by the National Park Service in San Francisco. It was first used to transport cargo freight across the bay and up the rivers and inlets. When the tide went out its wooden flat bottom enabled it to rest on the bottom without damage and rise up again at high tide. Photo technicals: f5.6, 1/640s, ISO-100, 700mm optical zoom
